After moving to the UK 6 years ago I was finally ready to buy my first home. This seemed a really scary thing to do as I didn’t have any knowledge of the UK property market, how lease vs freehold worked, and I didn’t know what to look out for and what sort of costs I would incur along the way. Holly and the team at Citrus did a fantastic job in giving me all the information, advice and support I needed to secure a mortgage, buy my first property, and ensure I had all the right insurances in place.

Before consulting Holly and the team at Citrus Financial I didn’t have much of a knowledge of the UK property market and was worried that I would miss some key steps in the mortgage application or purchase of the property, which would eventually result in delays or additional costs.

Compared to other advisers, Holly and the team were much more approachable, and from the beginning it was clear that they didn’t want to rush me into any decision, and wanted to make sure that any decision I made was the right one for me. Holly made sure she gained an understanding of my circumstances and gave me all the information I needed in order to allow me to make the right decisions when it came to buying the property. She was also readily available to answer any questions and run any mortgage repayment figures whilst I was viewing properties and when I was negotiating a price for the property I chose.

I loved the friendliness and approachability of the team; everyone went above and beyond to help me! I was very satisfied; I don’t think I could have asked for a better service!

I think that anyone in my position who is young and buying their first property would really benefit from Holly’s knowledge, but I’m sure there are many other types of people who would benefit in different ways from the advice and help from Holly and the rest of the Citrus team.
