Supporting Families This Christmas with Friends for Families

Each year we support Friends for Families, a wonderful local charity helping families in the Sevenoaks area who are facing real financial hardship. When Children’s Services identify a family needing support that can’t be provided elsewhere, Friends for Families step in with practical, immediate help.

In previous years, we’ve collected new board games to make sure children have something special to open on Christmas Day. This year, the charity asked for something a little different, and we were very happy to get involved.

Bags of festive treats for local families

Instead of toys, we’re donating Christmas treat bags filled with simple comforts the whole family can enjoy together. Think sweet and savoury nibbles, little chocolate treats, and a few festive favourites that many families might otherwise go without.

It’s a small gesture, but for households already stretched to the limit, these touches of Christmas can make a real difference.

Why this support matters

Friends for Families provides targeted help to families who have nowhere else to turn. With living costs rising and increasing pressure on local support schemes, more people are relying on food banks and small charities for urgent assistance.

By supporting their Christmas Appeal again this year, we hope to bring a bit of warmth, normality and festive cheer to families who need it most.
