Are you worried you’re not doing enough for the retirement you want?

It is one of those things many people know they should look at.

Your pension.

You may have one from your current employer. Maybe another from a previous job. Possibly more than one. You may be paying in each month, receiving the occasional statement, and assuming it is probably fine.

Wednesday 10th June, 7.00pm

Join us at Squerryes Winery Restaurant for a relaxed, practical evening that could help you feel clearer, more confident and more in control of your retirement plans.

But is it?

That is the question many people in their 40s and 50s quietly worry about.

Not because they have done anything wrong. But because life is busy. There is the mortgage, family, work, rising costs and all the other financial priorities that come first.

Retirement can feel far enough away to ignore, but close enough to make you wonder whether you should be doing more.

And according to the Pensions Commission, around 15 million people in the UK are currently undersaving for retirement.

So if you have a nagging feeling that your pension is sitting in the “I’ll sort it one day” pile, you are certainly not alone.

Are you on track, or just hoping?

Most people do not need a lecture about pensions. They need a clearer picture.

  • How much might you need in retirement?
  • What could your current pensions provide?
  • Are you saving enough?
  • Are your pensions invested in the right way for you?
  • Could old pensions from previous jobs be working harder?
  • What happens if you leave things exactly as they are?

These are not always easy questions to answer on your own. But they are important ones, especially if you are in your 40s or 50s and still have time to make changes.

Join us at Squerryes Winery Restaurant

To help people take that first step, Citrus Financial is hosting The Pension Reality Check at the beautiful Squerryes Winery Restaurant in Westerham.

This is not a formal financial lecture.

It is a relaxed, friendly evening designed to help you understand whether you are on track for the retirement you want, and what you may need to think about next.

We will explain the key points in plain English, without jargon, pressure or expectation.

After the presentation, there will be time for questions, informal chats with our advisers, food, and the opportunity to enjoy a glass or two of Squerryes sparkling wine.

What we will cover

During the evening, we will look at:

  • How much income you may need for the retirement you want
  • Why the State Pension may not be enough on its own
  • What your current pensions could realistically provide
  • Why old workplace pensions should not be forgotten
  • How to spot whether you may need to save more
  • The decisions you may face as retirement gets closer

You don’t need to bring your pension paperwork, you don’t need to know all the details, and you don’t need to feel embarrassed if you have not looked at your pensions properly for a while.

That is exactly why we are running the event.
