An established client bank, a great support team and room to grow

We’re looking for an experienced Financial Adviser to join our growing team at Citrus Financial, based near Sevenoaks in Kent.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established, award-winning financial planning firm where you’ll have an existing client bank to look after, new business leads to help you grow and the support of experienced paraplanning, client services and marketing teams.

You’ll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with clients, provide genuinely personalised financial advice and make a meaningful difference to their financial wellbeing.

About the role

As an employed Financial Adviser at Citrus, you’ll provide holistic financial planning to private clients, helping them make informed decisions about their money and plan confidently for the future.

You’ll take responsibility for an established client bank, delivering ongoing advice and developing long-term relationships. You’ll also have opportunities to grow your client base through new business leads, client recommendations and professional introductions.

Working closely with our paraplanning and client services teams, you’ll be able to focus on what you do best, providing great advice and looking after your clients.

What you'll be doing?

  • Providing holistic financial advice covering investments, pensions, retirement income, protection and estate planning.
  • Managing an established client bank and delivering a high-quality ongoing advice service.
  • Building trusted, long-term relationships with clients and their families.
  • Meeting clients in person and virtually to understand their circumstances, needs and financial goals.
  • Working with our paraplanning team to develop suitable recommendations and explain them clearly to clients.
  • Helping clients navigate changes in legislation and taxation, including inheritance tax and pension planning.
  • Identifying opportunities to support clients with their wider financial planning needs.
  • Developing your client bank through referrals, professional connections and new business opportunities.
  • Maintaining high standards of compliance and delivering good client outcomes in line with FCA requirements.

What we're looking for

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a genuine passion for helping people.

You’ll need:

  • A Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent).
  • A current Statement of Professional Standing (SPS).
  • At least two years’ experience working as a Financial Adviser, ideally providing ongoing advice to private clients.
  • Experience advising on investments, pensions, retirement income and protection.
  • A good understanding of FCA requirements, including Consumer Duty.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial matters in plain English.
  • A proven ability to build strong client relationships.
  • A collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering excellent client service.

Experience in inheritance tax and estate planning, cashflow modelling and developing client relationships through referrals would be an advantage.

We invest in our people, encourage professional development and work together to deliver the best possible experience for our clients.

What we can offer:

  • Competitive salary of £45,000–£55,000, dependent on experience.

  • An established client bank to manage and develop.
  • New business leads to support your growth.
  • Experienced paraplanning and administration support.
  • Training and professional development, including CPD support.
  • Participation in a company share option scheme.
  • Salary sacrifice electric vehicle scheme.
  • Contributory pension.
  • Flexible benefits.
  • Hybrid working, with regular attendance at our Sevenoaks office (likely to be at least three days a week).
  • 25 days’ holiday, plus an additional day off on your birthday.
  • Four additional Life Happens Days to help with unexpected emergencies.
  • A friendly, supportive team that genuinely cares about its clients and colleagues.
