Citrus Mortgage Bites – February 2024

Welcome to Citrus Mortgage Bites, our new monthly video covering all things mortgages. Each month Richard Harris, COO at Citrus Financial, will be joined by Holly Bettles, our wonderful mortgage and protection adviser, to discuss the latest news in the mortgage market.

This month Richard and Holly discuss the latest mortgage rates available from lenders. Unfortunately we’ve seen a rise in mortgage rates over the last few weeks. While a return to growing property prices is great for sellers, it does mean there’s growing demand for mortgages. Holly explains how that growing demand means lenders can increase their rates.

Our regular presenters are also joined by Sarah Harley, founder of Citrus Conveyancing. Sarah has more than three decade’s experience in helping buyers complete their home purchase. If you’ve ever wondered what a conveyancer does, and why they’re so important, then this episode is for you.

We’re also playing ‘Bricks & Mortar Bingo’. Our fantasy property game where each month Holly and Richard will be set a brief to find the perfect property. For February it’s a lottery winning £3million to spend on a home with a pool or tennis court. If you think there’s a clear winner let us know in the comments.

If you like the properties they’re currently both available on Savills of Sevenoaks and Hamptons of Maidenhead.

We hope you enjoy it and please let us know what you think.
