Good luck Karen and Trish at the Women In Financial Advice Awards

Next Wednesday evening, 4th November, two of our team will walk into the Hilton London Bankside as finalists at the Women In Financial Advice Awards 2026.

Karen Gorbutt is shortlisted for Financial Adviser of the Year (South East). Patricia Harris, known to all of us as Trish, is shortlisted for Woman of the Year (Paraplanner).
We’ll be there with them on the night, cheering louder than any other table in the room.

A record field for the Women In Financial Advice Awards

Reaching the shortlist is no small thing. Professional Adviser, which runs the awards with headline sponsor LV=, received 3,624 nominations this year for 1,164 women from more than 450 firms.

Each of those nominations came from someone in the profession. To be shortlisted from that field is a real credit to Karen and Trish.

The winners will be chosen by a panel of 30 expert judges from across financial services. Now in their ninth year, the awards celebrate women working in financial advice and across the wider UK financial services sector.

Whatever the result

Whatever happens on Wednesday, being a finalist is an honour in its own right.

It means their peers, and then the judges, looked at a crowded field of talented people and said: these two stand out. That recognition doesn’t depend on whose name is read out at the end of the evening.

So we’ll say it now, before the envelopes are opened. We are incredibly proud of you both.

Good luck for Wednesday

Karen and Trish make a real difference to Citrus Financial, to our clients and to the wider team. Their shortlisting reflects the care, professionalism and dedication they bring to their work every single day.

The winners will be announced at the gala dinner on 4th November, and we’ll share how the night went in next month’s Citrus News.

Good luck, Karen and Trish, from everyone at Citrus Financial. Whatever the result, we couldn’t be prouder.
